INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 5

Good Morning and welcome to my blog. If you are following the INKspired blog hop you would be visiting me from the talented Cherie Davies and I can't wait for you to check out this fortnights card.

Can you believe that there are only 5 and a bit weeks left until Christmas, it feels like the days and weeks are just flying by. I hope you are on track with your Christmas preparation, if not jump to it or you will blink and it will be here.

This week we were given a great sketch to put our own spin on.  After beginning my crafting with Creative Memories many years ago, I just can't bring myself to use ovals - so had to put my thinking cap on and find another shape.

I am happy with how my card has turned out, but have to admit there was a lot of fiddling around in the creation of this card.  In saying that though, creative masterpieces come alive with detail - right!

I decided to use some of the Under the tree specialty paper on this card, as I am loving the muted tones that are around this Christmas. I dressed it up with ribbon and lace and then decided it needed glitter too :)

I have to apologise for the photography but I only put this card together in half an hour and was rushing to get it photographed and posted to my blog so I could go and do the other million things I need to get done. I think I have managed to show you all the detail.
I used Serene Silhouettes stamp set initially, and then stamped the background using stamps from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. I used dazzling diamonds on the branches of the trees to add some bling and then used cherry cobbler dazzling details to colour the birds.

Thanks for stopping by, below you will find all the products that I have used in the creation of this card.  If you click on the product picture, it will take you directly to my store where you can do some shopping - don't forget Stampin' Up products make wonderful stocking fillers!

Please don't forget to hop to the next talented team member Kabrina Piirlaid to continue to be inspired with your card making.
Have a great day
Janelle :)

  5. Hahaha Janelle, I too did Creative Memories many moons ago! I love your substitute for the oval, it's prefect! Yes these challenges have us stepping out of our comfort zone and I'm not much of an oval girl either!
Beautiful card with the' blinged' Serene Silhouettes stamp and touch of lace and the coloured pearls. Perfect placement of the pearls too, must have taken you a little while! xo
